Rock Entertainment Group Named to Sports Business Journal’s 2024 Best Places to Work in Sports List

Recognition Marks the Organization’s Second Consecutive Year Receiving Award

CLEVELAND – Rock Entertainment Group (REG), the umbrella entity that houses Dan Gilbert’s sports and entertainment properties under the ROCK Family of Companies has been named to Sports Business Journal’s 2024 Best Places to Work in Sports List. This recognition marks the second consecutive year REG has been recognized as one of the publication’s best of the best in sports, as voted by employees of professional teams, leagues, technology companies and others within the sports industry.

Rock Entertainment Group employs more than 550 full- and part-time team members, which includes the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers, AHL Cleveland Monsters and NBA G League Cleveland Charge. REG also manages and operates Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, Cleveland Clinic Courts, the Cavs training and development center and Rock Entertainment Sports Network, a joint venture with Gray Media.

Sports Business Journal’s (SBJ) Best Places to Work in Sports list is established from a confidential satisfaction survey administer by SBJ partner Omaha, a Neb.-based Quantum Workplace. The survey measured key areas that compose an organization’s culture, such as compensation, benefits, confidence in co-workers, communication and trust in senior leadership.

REG is motivated by the mission to optimize its position as a world class operator in sports and entertainment by developing a platform for relentlessly creating amazing experiences for our fans, teams and team members. The organization continues to prioritize a welcoming, inclusive and equitable environment that fosters professional and personal development, as well as the opportunity to innovate and create. In addition to several leadership training programs, eight Team Member Resource Groups exist to further develop workplace culture. Rock Entertainment Group experienced a transformative year in 2024. Notably, the enterprise hosted the record-setting 2024 NCAA Women’s Final Four at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, broke ground on the Cleveland Clinic Global Peak Performance Center, the Cavaliers new downtown training facility located on the Cuyahoga Riverfront and celebrated 30 years of Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Additionally, the Cavaliers currently boast an active sellout streak of 108 games, the Monsters finished 1st overall in AHL attendance and the Charge finished 6th in attendance in the G League.
