With over 150 events that draw more than 1 million people downtown each year, Rocket Arena continues to stimulate hundreds of millions of dollars in economic activity annually. Since its inception in 1994, the Gateway Sports and Entertainment Complex, which includes Rocket Arena and Progressive Field, has been a catalyst for nearly $2 billion in completed, underway or funded retail, residential and hotel development in the Gateway district alone. Gateway, which is also the city’s most visited neighborhood, welcomes over five million visitors each year.

CAVS IN PARIS

For the 2024 NBA Paris Game, the organization partnered with the City of Paris for the Bouge et Partage (“Move and Share”) project, hosting local youth for an adaptive sports Cavs Clinic and donating €10,000 to leave a lasting impact on the program.

The organization unveiled its fourth court renovation in Brazil, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to growing the game of basketball around the world.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS INTERNATIONAL

The Cavs formed a strategic partnership with Special Olympics International to create more inclusive experiences for athletes of all backgrounds. The partnership was activated in Paris with ambassador Tristan Thompson and in Brazil through youth clinics.

2024 NCAA Women's Final Four.

  • Set an all-time Division I Women’s Basketball attendance record for the entire tournament, with 436,055 fans attending games.
  • Both semifinal games and the championship game were sold out, drawing a total of over 48,900 fans from across the country.

  • The impact of the 2024 NCAA Women’s Final Four in Cleveland surpassed $22M.

Cleveland Clinic Global Peak Performance Center.

The Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Clinic, and Bedrock broke ground on the Cavaliers’ new performance center and training facility in October 2024. The facility, anticipated to open in 2027, will also provide comprehensive care for the general public.

The design is inspired by three key principles:
